It should do that because you say so?

- A normal console should not be selling less in the third year compared to the second.
- A normal console should not still be losing money 2 years after

 

The only one in real trouble right now is Sony, lower sales - the cash cow of PS2 is near the end - still loosing money on PS3.

It's funny how peoples expectation on Sony went from being the super on on PS2 that should smash everything with PS3 - to at least come after Wii - and now it's not so bad to sell at the lowest rate with losses since the other consoles has lower price.

The company in the best position creates most money
The company in the worst condition burn most money

Today Wiio is clearly number one and PS3 clearly last with 360 in the middle more close to PS3 then Wii.



Predictions for 2009:

360: 39-42 PS3: 31-34 Wii: 67-70

Future projection

Wii will hit 100 million before christmas 2010 (made december 2008)

NDS Family will have sold and shipped more then PS2 at the end of 2009 (made january 2009)

I thought the same thing when Sony released the report about the PS3. Good job Sony and naughty VGC for under tracking the PStriple again. Still a decent job overall to the vg staff on Wii numbers

Why should it?  Price is not everything there are other factor to considers such as games, availability, reasons for buying, etc.  If it's just price then 360 would be out selling the Wii which we all know is not the case.  It's out sell PS3 by almost 50k this month if that's not a lot then how much would be enough?  

Fact is PS3 fan were saying that 360 has peak last year (so in theory this is PS3 peack year) then by that logic 360 should be selling less than last year while PS3 sales should be going up.  Of course that's not the fact.  360 sales has increase while PS3 is actually decreasing YOY.

Second, didn't Sony fanbots always tout that PS3 is a better value.  Live add $300 to the life of console not to mention $100 wi-fi $150.00 HD and oh yes the batteries to charge the control.  Adding all that up , 360 cost about 2x more than the PS3.  So 360 is selling at higher price than PS3 (according to PS3 nut job around here) and still beating it!!
