I just read reviews about the brand, and this quote was used the most. " In general, their features are slightly above average" so thats good enough for me imo.
Again, i didn't buy it, my dad did for me so i put out no money lol, i'll pick up a Sony for me later on down the line when i can. :P

I've got a 52 in. Sony XBR4. :P But in all seriousness, congrats on the upgrade. Once you go HD, it's hard to go back. Btw, I'd highly recommend replaying Uncharted if you have the time. :D

Well hes obviously lying. Everyone knows Sony doesn't make 42'' HDTVs. GOSH! (Only 40'' and 46'' in that size area). Im sort of kidding but its one of my biggest pet peeves. You really should know what you're talking about when you drop at least a grand on an item.

Elements overall quality represents a good value when taking into account its price (much like Vizio as the person above stated). Longevity is what worries me with "budget" companies. Keep us posted. My Samsung 40'' LCD and I just celebrated our two year anniversary not too long ago and its still trucking. Its far outclassed by now with Samsungs amazing new TVs but thats to be expected. Just remember: Even if you buy the best, highest end product from a recognizable brand it'll no longer be amazing comparitively within a year.

no, you simply by the best you can afford at the time of purchase, use it for as long as possible, till it either breaks or some how becomes faulty....or find someone willing to take it off your hands, and then you buy the next tv which again is the best of it's time....unfortunetly technology keeps advancing so we as consumer have to keep advancing if we so choose.
Anyways, I'm also in the market for an HDTV as well. I'm willing to spend at most $500 or even a few bucks more on one. The size has to be about 26'', be able to display high quality picture (720p at least) and is usable as a PC monitor.
Thanks
