Forums - General - Who here is OUT and proud!?

If someone commits an act of perversion then he's a pervert. I was paraphrasing your message. Also, being gay is not something you can change so you'd end up hurting your friend by making him think who he is is bad or perverted.

I don't see your point there... I was born and raised Christian so was my boyfriend and pretty much any gay guy I know around here.

I'm surprised, the gay thread managed to get to... 250 or so replies untill the bible-thumpers got in.

Glad to see you know it only affects christians but, I'm still a bit worried on Christian homosexuals. What about them?

I'm an atheist, straight, but I do believe that the only core message of the Christian faith is love eachother, and forgive your fellow man. The rest of the teachings has been made up by men with their own personal agenda.

Right. We are to love one another. But that doesn't mean you love what he does or the way he is. For example. If I had a gay friend I would still love him but not like his act of perversion.

Wow! What a great friend!

- "I love you but I think you're a pervert" Great message...

That's not it at all.

"Hate the sin, love the sinner" is what I've most commonly heard.

And to a later post, if being gay is something that you can not change. Then why have I had friends who have gone gay to only come back later straight men? Or are you just going to say that were gay in the first place?

"We'll toss the dice however they fall,
And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

The boyfriend's just gone away on business for 3 weeks. I have a whole stash of $2 ( or £ equivalents) waiting to be spent.

I think you answered your own question. Another possibility may be that they have simply suppressed those feelings/urges.

It basically comes down to whether you believe homosexuality is a choice. No doubt some people just do it out of curiousity, but I certainly do not think it's a choice for most people. How else would you explain homosexuality in animals?

12 hours ago i was bored surfing the web so i decided to see what is the off-topic section of vgchartz (never put my feet here). There i see this thread with a lot of replies and think for myself "I have some reading to do".

Congratulations to I_Heart_nintendo for creating this thread, cause this kind of activities are so important to demonstrate to people who feel opressed by their sexuality that  they don't have to feel ashamed.

I'm another one to say that i'm impressed with so much gay people on a gaming site... that just means that being gay is transversal to everything, as in eveywhere there is a chance to find a gay (be aware cause might be around the corner).

To answer the OP question, i am gay and am not proud of it (I agree with what  Sommernacht and akvod first said about being proud, even thought is just a semantic issue like I_Heart_nintendo admitted) but im okay with it because has not interfered with my lifestyle.

Wow, never thought that I would live long enough to see a gay, gamer. (when I said gay, I did not mean to insult anyone)

yeah i totally understand that. I always thought there was few gay gamer (gaymer?) besides me and that i wouldn't find anyone here. I tend to separate both worlds but knowing there is only one world we all live in!
