Well then doesnt this prove that a blue ray is point less because there just gonna have DLC anyways?

If not a troll job then just lol.

you think everything is a jab agaisnt the PS3 is a troll, it isnt. Apple, a very cutting edge tech company, is cutting out optical media all together is their newer laptops. http://www.apple.com/macbookair/specs.html Seeing as how even the PS3 relys so heavily on DLC, it shows that a 100 gig optical media is not only not necesary but going in the completely wrong direction.

DLC has redered Blue ray disc to be pointless. Apples newest laptops dont even have a DVD Player!!! Nothing!

Well Explain LBP then?   I have heard it takes up 40GB of space on a Dual Layer 50GB Blu-ray Disc.  How would that fit on a DVD?  Would the Story mode levels have to be DLC then?

Sony also said that Heavenly Sword has 9 gigs of music. Sony is just trying to justify their media format. If games like Fable 2, GTA 4, Gears of wAr 2, Mass Effect, can all fit on a DVD, it should be able to burp LPB. Resistence Fall of man was also supposed to be like 17 gigs according to Sony.

Not at all, 3 companies that are rejecting Blue ray are making crap loads of money by not using it. Apple, Nintendo, and Microsoft.

BTW if Apple was cutting out optical drives altogether, why would they advertise the MacBook Air SuperDrive, specifically for that paticular notebook, at the bottom of the page??????

Well then this kid is just that ignorant.

DLC is just a add on after game is released, its to make more $/and keep interest in the game/keep sales alive.

Not rocket science, just milking a game as much as possible.

Compression is how those games made it onto dvd, compression also hurts imagine quality and texture quality.  Not to mention sound quality, that is why most games on blu-ray support 7.1 lossless audio, lpcm audio.

It proves Blue ray was a fauty idea in the first place. As no one is utilizing it and even choose not to utilize it as they make more money from DLC

Yeah i noticed that also!

I think it is obvious that they removed the DVD drive to make sure the laptop is as thin as possible as it is all about being really thin these days!
