I dont know, could the PS3 possibly get any cooler looking than it already does? I doubt it but we will see. If there is a slim version announced, I will be running out and getting another PS3.

Even though how much I want this to happen bec. this will help sony a lot in sales. I'll regret my PS3 purchase last feb. 8. I should have wait.

I like the design of the PS3 it's sleek glossy and I leave it on for days and it never gets RROD, or whatever RROD is for PS3. If they have to choose between a smaller one that fails or keeping the old case. I say keep the old case.

Is yours a BWC PS3?  If its the current PS3 then i can see why.

 

Im happy with my BWC PS3 and wanted it before they release the slimline.  They already cut back on 2 USB ports, BWC, Media card-reader. 

Whats next to cut to make this slimline?

- the fan most likely

- maybe itll have the same type of disc load top the PS2 slim instead

- an unreplaceable HDD thats smaller than the 2.5" (like the ones the Ipods use?) 

Those are just my thoughts.  If they add new stuff to slim thatd be nice but in math; add =/= smaller lol

about the hdd, cant they just replace it with a flash drive ? you want space just plug it in the usb, should cut quite a bit of costs.
