Don't forget about me.
Nice score, but I don't really trust IGN. They seem to give a lot of PS3 games high scores.
|
So what? Are the games they give high scores to, underperforming, bad games? And what PS3 games do you speak of?
|
Motorstorm, Resistance, Resistance 2, Killzone 2, LBP, Folklore, Valkyria Chronicles, Metal Gear Solid 4, Uncharted, etc. I just don't trust them. None of those games, except for maybe one, are 9/10 games for me.
|
And that right there is the key. Out of those games above, Red marked are ones i would give 9/10 blue are ones i'd give 8.5-9.0
Resistance because it became better and better until it got really awesome I thought the story was going to end like 3 times before it did lol. Resistance 2 because of all the play modes and durability. Though i would have liked them to write the story differently.. It was a little lacking storywise.
If you'd had motorstorm pacific rift up there i'd given it a 9. Definetly. It's a truly remarkable offroad racing game and i've spent many hours on it. The original.. well while it was certainly good it had a few issues. The lack of splitscreen hurt it (since it's a racing game it kinda needs this) and you blew up too quickly. Like if you looked at a rock funny you'd go boom lol.
Killzone 2 because frankly. It's one of the best first person shooters ever, and one of the only shooters to draw me into the online mode seriously since the first call of duty.
Little big planet because of everything it contains. The tons and tons of content and options.
Metal Gear Solid 4. Because, even without having played the previous games (have watched the retrospectives though) this is one of the best games ever if you ask me. It's epic on so amazingly many levels.
Uncharted because it's such an incredible experience... Immersive, fluid and fun. It has such advanced animation systems it brings most other games to shame. The look and feel of it simply draws you into this hollywood experience.
Only played the demos of valkyria and folklore.. but i definetly think valkyria is up there if the demo is anything to go by. Folklore i'm unsure off because it's been so long since i've played the demo of it.
In either case. My point is that everyone has different opinions and the reason ign has 3 different reviewers on each game is so that you can get 3 perspectives of the game. They all seem very positive on this game and i have to admit it does sound pretty damn awesome. Just because you might have different opinions on how good games are, does not nullify everyone elses opinons :p
