I don't think it could surpass Star Wars in how much of a "phenomenon" it is.

And @scifiboy I have to disagree with how you rated the star wars movies. I think the only bad SW movie was the Phantom Menace. I mean the high point of the movie was Anakin's pod race. It was horrible.

I think the Clone Wars and Revenge of the Sith were pretty good. Revenge of the Sith does and awesome job showing the transition between the new and the old Star Wars films. It shows how Darth Vader came to be, and many other things.

Someone else said the same thing earlier in the post, idk maybe i'm missing something. Perhaps you're really arguing the intensity of star trek nerds devotion to the franchise vs. Star wars nerds devotion? If that's the case i might be inclined to say star trek wins there. I mean people learn whole fictitious languages and such.

 

I dunno.  Nobody has made up a full language for Star Wars.

It's also the most spoken fictional language in the world.
