I have just received confirmation that there will be a public demonstration of Sony upcoming God of War III at E3 2009, the exact details of which are not yet clear, however I am told that the level that will be shown at E3 is the same one which had been presented to the Press earlier, however the updated version is what is to be shown.

The game will be demoed live on stage for the first time as expected, the release date will be revealed and we'll get to see a lot of info on the game.

HD Direct capture videos and new screenshots will also be made available. 

There will also be a variety of surprise announcements from both Sony and Microsoft, it will be immensely exciting from both camps, and as we get closer to the expo, more hints and news will become available. Stay tuned to Badassgamerblog for the latest gaming news.

Hmm...I KNOW it wont be playable. I would be surprised if there was an onstage demo. I was thinking maybe just a trailer. It isnt coming out this year. We would be lucky if it came out Q1 of next year.

Last time I checked, the game has already been confirmed to be playable at E3. So yeah, you'd best rethink your life.

He is in a position where he could know such things, given the work he does for this very site.

However, I do believe there will be a demo of sorts, if only insomuch as Killzone 2 was demonstrated at E307.

Afterall, it was shown at GDC.  They have to show it to the public sometime.  E3 would be the perfect place to do so.

Haha... that's rather heavy over such a harmless statement. Surely your post will act the catalyst that will forever change theloadedstatements' life.

Serious stuff!

Anyhow, on-topic, I'm hoping there will be something of the sort at E3.
