I know about 15 people that work at the studio that is doing this ;) - its one of the companies I used to work for.

The game has been in development for a LONG time - it was supposed to be released last year, but got bumped to this year instead. Looking forward to exactly what they managed to do with this...

wicked? do you know if they using WM+ on Wii version? any chance you can get them to consider it haha?

I understand being an Aussie you automatically expect an Aussie to be in the title but Brian Lara is recognised and remembered more than Ricky Ponting elsewhere in the Cricket world.

Shane Warne is more well known than Ponting.
Having Brian Lara just seems to make more sense and bring a certain amount of credibility to the franchise than anyone else would.

They will probably localise the cover.  Like back in the sega days Brian Lara Cricket in Aus it was Shane Warne cricket (exactly the same game haha).

Which was cool.    Man if Tandulkar was on a cover and he promoted it on Wii, their whole country would go nuts.

Ye lol if the game was called Sachin Tendulkar cricket in India they would go nuts over it!

TBH, I didn't even know a Wii version existed - it may well be a "work on that one later". The focus is PC/360/PS3 - which is a little sad ;)

If Ninty ever want to launch in India, all they need is the Wii to launch with a 'Mario Cricket', including M+ support...

I hope that ONE of these games has MotionPlus and my life will be complete.

I don't care if there's virtually no chance of that happening, I want 1:1 cricket, damnit!

# of games above 75 on Metacritic (including downloadable):

360: 241     DS: 144

PS3: 152     PSP: 126

They would have to have a special accessory to track your footwork

I haven't played a cricket game in about a decade. But if this turns out decent then I just may give it a go.

You could not really have the full range of movements then. How would you play a cover drive? You would have to take your left foot off the board, but how does it know whether you get to the pitch of the ball. Or what about charging down the pitch?

And what did you put in your quote? I seems to have stretched my reply

I love Cricket!!!
