The lisense covers teams and drivers. So GT5 can also no longer have the ferrari car in the full version. They could do a make believe replica with completely different sponsors. But sorry, the info is likely to be all made up. :)

 

And this license covers F1 rights for all seasons ever?

It doesnt work that way. Sony can keep selling any game that was made whe they owned the rights to develop F1 games. But with F1 it means that anything associated with F1 ( meaning any car ever, any team ever or any driver ever ) can not be done by Sony. Absolutely anything that comes under the F1 umbrella. Why do you think when Sony had the rights there was not even a GP Legends typ game made? Even the GP4 mods ect were done by public people and not a development studio.

If you know much about Bernie Ecclestone, You'd know what I mean. :)

Thats why I can't give any credit to this article, or post. However I expect 100% to see GT5 at E3. If not then I wont expect it to release till May 2010.

Haven't you heard? It got renamed GT5:Road Rage.

 

Gone is the high speed racing - In is buttons being mapped to differing forms of road rage. The triggers are used for the horn, allowing a feather tap of the horn or heatbutting it with full force.

 

The game will be on rails, so that you don't have to drive, and can concentrate on abusing others.

 

There will be an option to get out of your car and pick fights with people, but God wouldn't let the devs put damage modeling in

For the reasons stated with regards to F1 this would seem to be an ellaborate hoax. That said I do like the idea of taking on the Stig on the Top Gear circuit.

Althought Top Gear is popular outside of the UK I still find its inclusion strange but if true welcome.
