Well, I guess this is good news for PS3 owners in Europe.

They were getting the game reguardless. Its not good news for PS3 owners in Europe, its bad news for Wii, and 360 owners in Europe.

Evil M$ throwing their money at software houses again for timed exclusives, OH wait a minute it's $ony doing it!!!.

Sony bandwidth fees could be the reason why the 360 get's a lot of the timed exclsives and demos first and not  $ony

Was waiting to see how this would shape up, but now it definitely is a non purchase for me.

Except it's arguable this is going to help Sony that much it's certainly going to piss off people who were looking to buy one of the other versions of the game, which Sony was still going to get money for. My options now are as Hitler says "to wait until God fucking knows when" or pay 700 dollars to play the game in June, which isn't really much of an option.

errr.... this is only in PAL territories. Second, where is the PS3 selling for $699.99?

$399+tax for a Playstation 3=$435.

$60+tax=$65 for the game.

$60+tax=$65 for the second controller.

$20=monthly online provider fee to access the online features.

$25+tax=$29 for the Blu-Ray copy of the movie.

$750+tax=$795 for the HD T.V.

$400=monthly rent for the apartment in which to play the game.

$150+tax=$174 for the comfy chair in which to play the game.

$15+tax=$17 for your friend's bean bag chair.

$4=Day pass for the bus rides to pick up the game.

$2=electricity needed to run the hardware.

$245=total late fees on your credit card because you were too absorbed in the game to pay your bill on time.

Total True Cost to consumer because of Sony's dick move:

$2,251

You can't be serious.....?

Do you need to ask, of course he isn't.

Ghostbusters should help boost PS3 and PSP sales. Ghostbusters is exclusive to Sony.

No its not troll. I wish Sony would've picked a smarter game, like Prototype to bag early for their system, but no.....they had to publish Ghostbusters.

Will someone please tell me how this is a bannable comment?  PS3beats360 is a known troll and the time of Ghostbusters being ginormous enough to push systems is long gone.

THIS IS FANTASTIC NEWS!! Sony buying what must be a -A title to try and bolster crap sales. Usual Sony nobody else in the software world wants to be related exclusively to Sony now and this move is a move of desperation especially since Dan Akroyd himself acclaimed he loved the Wii version LOL!! Sony still on the back foot and getting closer to that cliff everyday!

"...the best way to prepare [to be a programmer] is to write programs, and to study great programs that other people have written. In my case, I went to the garbage cans at the Computer Science Center and fished out listings of their operating system." - Bill Gates (Microsoft Corporation)

"Hey, Steve, just because you broke into Xerox's house before I did and took the TV doesn't mean I can't go in later and take the stereo." - Bill Gates (Microsoft Corporation)

Bill Gates had Mac prototypes to work from, and he was known to be obsessed with trying to make Windows as good as SAND (Steve's Amazing New Device), as a Microsoft exec named it. It was the Mac that Microsoft took for its blueprint on how to make a GUI.

""Windows [n.] - A thirty-two bit extension and GUI shell to a sixteen bit patch to an eight bit operating system originally coded for a four bit microprocessor and sold by a two-bit company that can't stand one bit of competition.""

A pity, the Wii version of this game is far superior of the other versions. So Ghosterbuster-Fans are only able to play the mediocre PS3 and PS2-Versions.

I hope the Wii Version will released later this year.

Please read the whole thread or at least those with news posts in them.

...Ghostbusters...

This will be a MONSTER hit... when we push the world into a time machine and go back to 1984.

Ghostbusters... Seriously... Someone's actually expecting that this will change anything?

This move stinks of desperation, a "we need family titles, too! what's cheap enough?" move.

I think it's more likely that there'll be a brand new Ghostbusters game in the budget racks in the near future.

Sony is stupid if they think Ghostbusters is even a family title. It must be hard for them to understand the younger generation. The kids who watched the Ghostbusters as a cartoon when they were younger should be between the ages of 21-30. The kids these days don't know about Ghostbusters. That game is going to flop and Sony is barely going to make a cent off of it. Sony knows exactly who their target demographic is this gen, so why don't they go for a game like Prototype that appeals to that fanbase? Now they would have literally an exclusive superhero game in InFamous and another timed-exclusive in Prototype.
