Trying to find a cool name for my PSN online ID . PS3online gaming is free

I agree with some of his points but I don't think the ps3 will catch up to the 360. It's not even outselling it on a week-to-week basis, and it probably won't until a major price cut happens. It will take a long, long time for the ps3 to close the gap with the xbox 360.

Anyway, the ps3 has a lot going for it and deserves to be recognized as a viable console. I'm glad I have one, infact, I'm extremely content with my ps3 given the amount of hours of enjoyment from games or blu-ray movies the machine has, and will continue to give me.

Maybe its cause the PS3 is no longer doomed??

The whole point of the article was to call out the doomsayers who were trying to convince everyone that buying a PS3 was like buying a dreamcast. It is well past that point, and as it has previously mentioned, as long as there are enough sales and a high enough install base (yup and yup) to keep the developers happy, I don't care who is in first. Anyone who responds to this article in any other light is just wearing their Fanboism on their sleave. It clashes with your shoes, please stop it.

Wow... So, this guy from "IlovePS3dotnet" is buying into the "Sony can outsell Microsoft by the 125,000 units a month for the next five years, starting today" lunacy necesarry to believe they can make up for a nearly 9m unit deficit.

How shocking.

PS3 isn't going to put Sony out of business or anything, but all things considered, this generation was an epic fail for them. They took their lumps and should learn some things that will hoepfully bring us great things next gen.

The 360 and the Wii had their share of failures this gen. The Wii is a horrible 3rd party software seller considering its install base, HD-DVD was crucified not long after BluRay dropped, RROD is still rearing it's ugly head, along with other 360 technical issues, 360 JRPG support is pretty much a no go, and the list goes on and on. Sony is doing great considering its price and competition.

Ummm...  what did that have to do with anything in my post?

Despite my confusion, I'll comment: Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, Last Remnant, Tales of Vesperia, that "Bach is dead and dreaming" game (that thing had to be Japanese...), FFXIII...  There's a ludicrous f*ckton of JRPG games for 360.  What are you on about?

Also: "Sony is doing great considering its competition" as a follow up to "look at everything wrong with their competition" makes me wonder "why are they still such a distant third?"

I think Ben has proven his point by the obviously reactions from the majority of responses so far. The man is not perfect, but neither are you guys who are cherry picking his points ONLY when it suit your denial. The main point of his article are the "doom-and-gloom claims from the early days of the PlayStation 3" which have been proven untrue with the continual success of the PS3 for the past two and a half years. I also disagree that the PS3 will past 360 sales because I just don't see it happening. But to take this point and to discredit the truth he speak is the epotime of the denial of the growing success, support, and offering of the PS3. Do any of you think that the doom-and-gloom of the PS3 as a viable gaming platform is applicable? If you do, you are either in denial or just ignorant. The doom-and-gloom crowd are the ones Ben is calling out. And it's very obvious that they have responded because they would rather see the console industry without a PS3. But then again, those people probably aren't gamers to begin with because they put their hatred for a console/company before the love of gaming. Oh, and just to let everyone know, I was playing 4 player split screen Halo 3 just last night, and it was awesome and always was!

:)

Exactly.  I don't see how some would have such an issue with it.

It passed Dreamcast terrirory 10m sales ago (not taking into account the growth in the industry), but the REST of the article, spouting delusional hyperbole about how Sony is "in the driver's seat" of the generation, and is "innevitably" on the way to passing the 360 are well worth a derisive laugh and cutting comment.

Also, jaddow's comical fangrrlism in posting said article, then trying to be clever with "tryin ta cum up wid a gud psn usrnam. itz frii" (featuring the DEBUT of the punctuation mark in her posts!!) is going to keep this going for quite some time.
