I believe NBA 2k9 takes the crown on all fronts. NBA Live 2009 is an improvement to the past games. I remember the days in 1998-2000 when Live was the king; Sadly, once 2K came out on the Dreamcast, I was hooked and never played NBA Live again. NBA 2k9 was weaker in a sense that it was too similar to last years game, but even that is ten times better than Live.

Honestly I gave up on NBA Live after 2005 the series just went downhill and I haven't bought a game since. And until it gets back up into the 80s again I wont. That Said 2k9 is brilliant for a ball game only problem is that I wish the online was better

2K craps all over Live. The mechanics are far smoother, and the AI is loads better. I can see players actually reacting as they do in real life. Let's not even get into that NBA game Sony makes. Bleh! They should really make a stab at hockey, boxing or soccer instead.

I don't find it easy to have a match with one of my friends on my PSN list.

I don't find it easy to have a match with one of my friends on my PSN list.

Oh....I never buy Sports games on the PS3. I only buy them on the 360 because the controller is better and live is much better. It just feels more natural.
