Okay here is some convenient cherry picked data of my own:

Sports 360 PS3 Wii

Tiger Woods '07 .90 .27 1.33
Tiger Woods '08 .68 .20 .87
Tiger Woods '09 .53 .49 1.1

Shaun White .6 .43 1.16

Movies

Harry Potter OoTP .53 .16 .95
Ratatoulle .22 .08 .92

Other

Dance Dance 1st Ed. .34 -- .95
Dance Dance 2nd Ed. .56 -- .58

Disney Sing It .23 .11 .62

Spryo Dawn of the Drag .21 .22 .35

Lego Batman .53 .42 .88

Hmmm... Wow... Wii won in all cases. Actually even in cases where HD combined is greater than Wii, if you include PS2 then PS2/Wii crushes PS360 numbers completely.

Hardly the best selling games and HD>Wii for some of them. If only we knew what the PC sales were.

Nov 2016 - NES outsells PS1 (JP)

Don't Play Stationary 4 ever. Switch!

erm i think you should change this thread to 360 sells multiplat casual games then any other console ;)

Most of them games you listed have sold better on the 360 then the other 2 platforms

Nobody's perfect. I aint nobody!!!

Killzone 2. its not a fps. it a FIRST PERSON WAR SIMULATOR!!!! ..The true PLAYSTATION 3 launch date and market dominations is SEP 1st

Umm...

Wii out sold 360 and PS3 on the following games plus more...

Pirate of the Caribbean: at Worlds End
Blazing Angels (which is weird that they made the sequel PS3/360 only, it was actually fun with Wii Controls)
Wall-E
Rockstar presents Table Tennis
Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon
The Bigs
Madagasca: Escape 2 Africa
Cars: Mater National
Bee Movie Game
The Incredible Hulk (if you don't count the PS2 Version)
Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian
Avatar - The Last Airbender: The Burning Earth (360, Wii, PS2... no PS3)
Surf's Up
Bolt
Disney's Meet the Robinsons
Guitar Hero World Tour
Harry Potter Order of the Phoenix
Tiger Woods 08 and 09
Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga
Lego Batman
Lego Indiana Jones
Sonic Unleashed
Monsters vs. Aliens
Shaun White
Rock Band AC/DC
Rock Band Track pack 1
Rock Band Track pack 2

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

Well I know this thread is nothing but fail so I won't give it too much attention. However, I would like to say I still don't know if our GH3 numbers are correct becasue every other comment, including Nintendo, has stated Guitar Hero III sold better on the Wii. Mainly talking about the Americas and I'm pretty sure even Activision stated this as well. So I'm still waiting for us to take that into account.

For the rest I think we all see the cherry picking.

I'm going to define casual in this post as music games, sports games, movie/tv games. Games that non-gamers would recognise outside of gaming. Guitars, football, star wars etc.

I've used the best sellers and the combined multi-platform sales are all above 2.5M.

Guitar Hero 3

360 - 4.22M,  PS3 - 1.89M,       Wii - 4.19M

Lego Indy

360 - 3.28M,  PS3 - 0.52M,       Wii - 1.18M

Kung Fu Panda

360 - 2.86M,  PS3 - 0.37M,       Wii - 0.69M

Marvel Ultimate Alliance

360 - 2.45M,  PS3 - 0.27M,       Wii - 0.35M

Madden 08

360 - 2.41M,  PS3 - 0.92M,       Wii - 0.93M

RockBand

360 - 2.30M,  PS3 - 0.83M,       Wii - 1.30M

Madden 09

360 - 2.28M,  PS3 - 1.58M,       Wii - 0.84M

Sega Superstar Tennis

360 - 1.98M,  PS3 - 0.25M,       Wii - 0.86M

GuitarHero WT

360 - 1.95M,  PS3 - 1.18M,       Wii - 2.90M (Wii wins this one)

Lego Star Wars

360 - 1.14M,  PS3 - 0.69M,       Wii - 2.53M (Wii wins this one too)

Fifa 09

360 - 1.81M,  PS3 - 2.14M,       Wii - 0.64M (PS3 wins this one)

Star Wars Unleashed

360 - 1.67M,  PS3 - 1.16M,       Wii - 1.24M

I was actually quite suprised by these numbers. Given the huge install base of the Wii I expected it to have much higher sales, especially for games aimed at children like Kung Fu Panda.

Should 3rd parties consider keeping the casual games to the HD consoles?

Does the Wii have more core gamers than 360/PS3?

I can understand calling sports games casual games and I completely agree calling music games casual, but those others just aren't.  You can call them that because you don't play them, but that doesn't make them casual.

thats awesome thanx for doing the research i also wondered bout it too

yeah i think 3rd partys should keep there casual games on the hds as well so that the HD consoles can be a all around console

                                                                      Play Me

my only concern here is there is alot of games there you listed as casual?

how are sports games casual? Just because EA RUINED THE Wii versions of the games does not mean they are casual.

Alot of people hated the All Play crap. Now this year it is going to be half cartoon shaded / half real Madden (which I don't think works for a game like it).

and look at PES 2009 v 2008 sales. PES2009 was released 6MONTHS after PS3 nad 360. I can't believe the developers are dissapointed about the sales of that game when it is bloody obvious too little to late for that.

My pojnt being I am not gonna argue agianst those sale figures just your meaning of casual is wrong.

You have to remember that MUA was a launch game for Wii, the 360 install base was 90% or more.  Lego Star Wars is LSW: the Complete Saga (TCS) which was a repackage of LSW 1 (VG) and 2 (OT) which was already out on PS2 (3.32m and 2.37m), PC, and 360 (.88m) plus TCS was on DS (2.57m) and PC.

Star Wars the Force Unleashed was prettier on 360 and PS3, that is why it sold more.  It was a very good looking game.  I ended up with the better Wii version after rental of the PS3 version.  if I hadn't rented it first, I would have bought it on PS3.

Lego Indy and Kung Fu Panda were pack ins with the 360.

Edit: Lego Star Wars the Complete Saga was a pack in too...

kung fu panda 2 coming out for 360 = awesome. developers should bring more mature games to the wii since 360 sells casuals more. no wonder if a game bomb on hd, the developer goes under.

Did I just kill the thread... again.

I hate when I do that.

One more thing on topic.  When GH3 came out, 360 still had a bigger install base plus an existing install base of guitars.  There was no "Disc Only" package on Wii.

Superstars Tennis was a 360 pack in too.

Rock Band 1 was a superior product on 360 due to DLC.
