I guess except for him and his buddies that were benefitting from his war for oil and higher gas prices.

Do yourself a favor, and do some research. Stop spouting off the democratic party line, and think for yourself.

When you look deeply into both Bush and Obama, you will find they are both very much alike fiscally.

I find it funny that most people who hate Bush love Obama, and vise-versa. There are far more ways they are alike then they are different.

It's why I dislike them both.

I am turning 40 this year, and still waiting for a President I can be proud of. I will probably die before I see one.

So are you a Libertarian?

Very much so. If I could have any political wish, it would be to bring John Adams back from the dead, and have him run for office.

Sadly, he could never win today. He does not lie enough.

I counted 2 votes for him when I worked the Arlington Co., VA polls last November

Lately the news has talked about the possible rise of a third party because of the Tea Party rallies a few weeks ago.

I think its time for a Libertarian Party.

Me too! :)

Just for fun, some great quotes from John Adams:

Remember, democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet that did not commit suicide.

Power always thinks it has a great soul and vast views beyond the comprehension of the weak.

Liberty cannot be preserved without general knowledge among the people.

All the perplexities, confusion and distress in America arise, not from defects in their Constitution or Confederation, not from want of honor or virtue, so much as from the downright ignorance of the nature of coin, credit and circulation.

Fear is the foundation of most governments.

And the one that's is as true today as it ever was...

There is danger from all men. The only maxim of a free government ought to be to trust no man living with power to endanger the public liberty.

1. This is hard today with all major news sources being owned by huge companies that have agendas that coencide with the politicians they lobbey to.

At least the internet is helping to counter this a little.

2. This was obvious during Bush's time in office and is starting to look like a trend in Obama's too.

My biggest fear is a duality of protectionist/isolationist ideals (Pres. Obama did run on these).

Don't be such a Neo Con.

Yet, today, America's leaders are reenacting every folly that brought these great powers [Russia, Germany, and Japan] to ruin -- from arrogance and hubris, to assertions of global hegemony, to imperial overstretch, to trumpeting new 'crusades,' to handing out war guarantees to regions and countries where Americans have never fought before. We are piling up the kind of commitments that produced the greatest disasters of the twentieth century.

Give the guy a break, he has his hands full trying to fix George W. Bush's mess.

Describe the mess and give details. I would like to know what you are referring to.

I think it was excellent how George Bush poured $850,000,000,000 of your hard earned money into the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, it was worth it, look at the results. I was so happy when the weapons of mass destruction in Iraq were found and when Osama Bin Laden was found hiding in a cave in Afghanistan. The wars were not failures in anyway considering the cost and the result. /sarcasm

Right I'm trying to be nicer to people in political threads....

I really don't think the Libertarian party has the interest of most Americans at heart, and from what I've seen most people attending tea parties are wasps.

I think this past election most people in America were so fed up with the rich get richer and the poor get poorer policy of the previous eight years that if only third parties were in the election, then the communist or a true socialist party would still have won.
