I just hope they take away the energy thing (it made you hurry through every level, and i like to take my time in games...hate timed stuff) And I hope they fix that god awful multiplayer. |
To be honest it beats Gears 2 hands down in the graphics department. And still theres a year left in development. Those smoke effects are 2nd to none. Also the post processing effects are the best seen. The foliage shudders when the boss moves and violently sways when shockwaves from explosions go off. Visually stunning. You only have to look at the comments in forums around the net to see how impressed the majority of people are.

Ok i just got done watching the whole video (instead of the beginning couple of seconds) and i can honestly say this is the best looking console game i have ever seen bar none!!!! The only thing that didn't look absolutly perfect was the water. This game looks utterly sick!
I have a question to the people that believe that the 360 reached its graphical limit with gears 2...hows your crow taste??

Yeah you still have a few people out there denying it's awesomeness. But go to any major forum and people are also calling it the KZ2 killer, LOL. 1 year left in dev, bet that water looks bloody amazing in 9 months.
EDIT: To your last sentence. People go on and on about developers using the possibilities of the PS3. Multi thread programming etc. But they never mention about the 360 dveelopers using multi thread programming to enhance it's performance.
Lets see the 360 has some great visuals but all the best are from Unreal Engine 3. And UE3 is designed as a single core CPU engine.
Mass Effect = UE3
Gears 1&2 = UE3
Lost Odyessey = UE3
Bioshock = UE3
Bioshock, Mass Effect, Gears 1 can all be run on full settings on a single core CPU PC.
No 360 game has had an enigne built specially designed to take advantage of the 360's 6 available threads. We know Alan Wake is designed from the ground up to utilize multithreads. And bet your bottom dollar that Forza 3, SC Conviction, LP 2 and N32 will be to.
We are just starting to see the 360 have it's multi threads strectched. Why this hasnt happened before is quite simple. Sony has more First party devs. They have been designing Multithread games to use the advantage multithread gives you. However alot of succesful exclusives for 360 are from third parties. Where opting for UE3 has proven cheaper. M$ are bringing their First party big guns now. There will be a big change in 360 graphics over the next 12-24 months.
But people conveniantly forget all this when saying about the graphics of PS3 over 360 games currently.
