Because it's a sport. Sports are for jocks. I'm a nerd. Video games are for me. I don't even like video games based on sports unless they have weapons, robots, monster jams, or are in some sort of mutant league.

Is Footballs popularity in the US expanding? Noticibly i mean?

Video gaming is as much of a sport as certain sports. People like a wide variety of sports. Maybe Chess or a less active more "nerdy" sport is your avenue?

Don't really have a team to cheer for. The sport itself is okay.

I usually get behind Germany during the UEFA and World Cup tournaments, some good times, but rarely watch it outside of those.

Canada has much more of an interest in Football than the US.
