I have a PS3 and it would make sense to bring the series to Wii, low development costs, low console costs, not a series that is intense on graphics, and you ignored the fact that Soriku said he doubts it will come to Wii either.  So I think you're just trying to put Soriku on the spotlight and look down on him. 

So I ask if you had a Wii would YOU care?

I own a PS3... I think it'd be stupid for the game to be a PS3 excluisve.

Perhaps you are reflecting your own issues though... where if you didn't have a PS3 you would suddenly see it as a bad move.

PSP is the way to go.  About the same level graphics.  Cheap.... lots of people have them in Japan.

Familarity with the system... fully done engines.

@maxwell - lol wtf, as you can tell ive been puttinb smily faces at end of each of my Soriku directed post, im just teasing him. The reason ive been puttin Soriku in the spotlight is because hes the first person to shoot it down and hes been adament about doing it. im "not looking down on Soriku for not having a PS3, i just find it funny how hes giving all these pretty decent responses as to why it wont but still has his feathers ruffled over the rumor

@ maxwell and Kasz - what if they want to use to PS3??? thats not possible??, what if they want to step into HD development??, you speak as if they plan to keep the series how it is no??? guys sell ar a huge facter in this, but its not everything..if developers thought about max sells the wouldn't exclusives now

If they plan to step into HD development in a real way... AKA big budget high graphics.... then PS3 is an even bigger mistake because it would risk the actual company which provides us with so many great niche titles.

PS3 development is the worst possible videogame platform currently on the market it could be for... unless it was multi-plat... all things even.

The Wii seems to be the most logical choice for Persona 5, since it's easier to develop for and costs less to develop for than the PS3. Furthermore, Persona is a game that relies heavily on its art style, so having more realistically rendered people isn't a must, since it's usually a hand-drawn portrait that does the talking. And considering the Wii is about twice as powerful as the PS2, I think that leap in visual power is good enough.

That said, I would love to see it on the PS3 with really nice cel-shaded graphics like Tales of Vesperia's. But in either case, this is still a rumor from a totally random blog site that has multiple spelling and grammatical errors, so as a huge Persona fan I'm wary of getting my hopes up.

I mean... lets break down all the different platforms.

DS: Ok... this would be... weird. But this seems to be where a LOT of RPGS are going. Nearly all Persona fans likely already own one... since it seems like nearly everybody owns one.

PSP: Makes the most sense. About the same graphics level... already have an engine... likely fans will buy one for the PS1 remake.... and if not they can greatly afford one.

PS2: Makes a lot of sense... but the PS2 is dropping off. Probably wouldn't effect P5... but they need to make a jump... sometime.

Wii: Cheap... so people who don't have on but love persona could buy one... could be muli-plat with PSP or PS2 to hedge bets... or both. Feels... off. Can't explain why.

360: Cheap... espiecally in Japan. Always the 360/PS3 multiplatform chance. It's cheap. Shin Megami NINE did something like 90K on the Xbox in japan. Out of somethign like 200,000-300,000 total fans that's not bad for a spinoff... not to mention it's gained some PS2 market share... almost certaintly.

PS3: Everyone who doesn't own the system is already priced out... just based on the consoles price alone... meaning they've got to target other markets and make a huge play for other demographics at a time you could argue JRPG market share is decreasing.
