Lazy or cost-efficient? I'd agree with you if they decide to go PS360, but if they decide to go with the Wii, I think a slighly upgraded version of their current engines would be fine. It's not like they're ugly.

Soriku never could and never will understand how any game he wants can come to a console other than the Wii. Hell, I don't even know why he cares, to my knowledge he still has yet to play any of the Personas and is just going based off what he's heard of them.

Regardless this is rather far fetched... and all in all... likely bad move for Atlus.
SMT has been spread out everywhere... so the fans will probably follow it anywhere it's cheap enough to follow it through. Unless there is a price cut or two before the game releases...
that's the last place i'd put it... unless i was getting a REALLY BIG paycheck. More then just covering losses.

If it happens it happens, and I really think that people on this forum need to take a step back and think about what they really know and what they don't. We know that it costs more to make an HD game, but we don't know how much more and we don't know how much a game with lower end graphics such as Disgaea 3 cost.
We don't know the development cost comparisons between a game made absolutely the same between the Wii and the HD consoles.
We don't know how well it will sell on the Wii compared to the PS3 or 360.
Every week we have this debate and people come to the conclusion that it would be idiotic to put any niche JRPG on the PS3, and yet they're announced. Now either the developers that chose to do so all ride the short bus to work, or they know something we don't. I prefer to believe the latter.

Nicely said, I hate fact that people think its a crime to have a game exclusive to the PS3
^ why???, its seems very reasonable to me, you just dont wanna see this happen...

1) I'm bettng on PSP.
2) How have profits been for the gaming industry lately?
3) Development costs aren't the issue. It's getting the fans over to the system. If your fanbase is spread out it's insane to put the game on the most expensive console. The cheaper the better.
Hence why multiplatform or PSP makes the most sense.
