... While I spent most of my youth drinking excessively (among other things), I would hardly say that drinking and doing drugs are really a way to enhance a person's enjoyment of life.

I'm the same.
I hate the smell of drink and it annoys me when people are drunk, if someone isn't in control of themselves properly then I do not want to speak or see them.
I also hate the smell of cigarette smoke and I hate cigarettes themselves, although that is probably because both my parents smoke pretty heavily and my father has been getting more and more ill for the past few years. His coughing has increased to near constant levels and the doctor says it is down to smoking. Doesn't stop the idiot though.
Finally, I hate (note the use of the word for all three :P) drugs. You have to be an idiot to mess with those IMO, I mean come on, it's common sense to stay off them, right?
Sad thing is, most of my friends do drink at parties and such, so it usually ends up as a mess of drunken people snogging people they don't even know. Some also like to smoke weed at the parties. I know it isn't deadly or anything but it is still stupid IMO. You know what teenagers are like though, I'm hoping most of them are going to grow out of it.

I don't smoke, take drugs but i drink socially. I mean, your too young anyway, and anyone who needs to drink, smoke or take drugs to have fun is simply weak.

Me too.Though I used to know this guy since for years and it was a big shock for me that he started smoking in a party.He told me not to tell his parents,lol.Anyway I guess I have more conservative values.
