Forums - Gaming Discussion - So, Remember the guy from Sega who dissed the Wii?

Anyone remember a couple months back, a Sega employee stated that he doubted the long term viability of the Wii, and that he though the PS3 was the way to go?

Yeah, he left Sega and now works for Sony. I'm not remotely implying that he was being paid by Sony at that time -- but it's still funny.

Yeah, I found that amusing. We can expect more Sony PR spin now that he is around.... not exactly what Sony needs...

With regard to Call of Duty 4 having an ultra short single player campaign, I guess it may well have been due to the size limitations of DVD on the XBox 360, one of various limitations multi-platform game designers will have to take into consideration-Mike B

Proud supporter of all 3 console companys

Proud owner of 360wii and DS/psp

Game trailers-Halo 3 only dissapointed the people who wanted to be dissapointed.

Bet with Harvey Birdman that Lost Odyssey will sell more then Blue dragon did.

Oh so it really got worse...

It makes sense that he would want to work somewhere more aligned with his opinions.

Prepare for termination! It is the only logical thing to do, for I am only loyal to Megatron.

Yes... I looked up Howards background...  he's been most attributed to being a big supporter of DRM.  I can understand why... his company has a lot of original content.  He was also brought in to restructure Sony.  I just don't understand why he decided to bring in an ex Sega guy... People love Peter Moore even though the string of failures he pulls around with him is bigger then a noose.  I don't quite get why people promote failures like this.

How the hell was it a diss ?

It was just his opinion and one that many people share, reality is wii hardware is weak.
