Why the hell did you make this thread anyway?

And "OOO Please 360 fanboys answer politely do not be too mean, it is just an opinion." is not necessary.

Thread Over...Give it up Rafi...People bought Halo 3 becuase they were wating for it...

Good games for the most part sell better than lesser games....

Everyone has an opinion, so fortunately we have facts. Halo 3 is the most played mp game on the 360 ahead of both cod's. Like it or not it is the best console fps, at least for mp.

Oh and that was a horrible post. Forgetting mass effect, fable 2, lost odyssey. Not only are these aaa titles they are some of the best this generation, you may have only posted the article but that in itself shows a true lack of respect for this board on your part.

Everyone knows its not you that posted this article. Its the fact that you promote this garbage that you are getting flamed.

This is not a "discussion" , its you and your pathetic attempt at trying to start a flame war and the irony is that your the one getting flamed.

N64 is the ONLY console of the fifth generation!!!

Get over it people.

I think this sums it up well. This is from the Metacritic page for Halo 3. The review is from 360 Gamer Magazine UK. "Anyone new to Halo probably won't see what all the fuss is about, completely confused as to why this third installment is so important to so many people. It's good, and there's enough here to make for a memorable game, but how memorable depends mostly on how invested you are in the franchise already." I take this to mean that the people who think that Halo 3 is the greatest thing since sliced bread are people who are very invested in the series. That makes sense. What this review and some of the rest of us are trying to say, I think, is that Halo 3 is great as a part of an entire body of work. When taken on its own, this is a great game, but the declarations of it being the greatest thing ever might be lost on someone new to the series. IMO, the Gears of War series is a FAR FAR more compelling reason to own a 360.

I've been gaming longer than many of you have been alive.

The New York Times said something similar to my earlier statement. "If you loved "Halo 2," you will feel just the same about Halo 3. If you played "Halo 2" and couldn’t figure out what all the fuss was about, Halo 3 is not the revelatory experience that will change your view of the series forever."
