Baten Kaitos was made by Monolith and the second one was even published by nintendo ;)

Well my opinion is that Square enix is the best followed by Level 5, Namco, then Lionhead and Capcom

Square Enix of course. I don't think one rpg from either Capcom or Namco has ever gotten above a 9 at IGN while Square Enix has had several rpgs that have.

When Mistwalker has a game that gets above a 9 their fans will have room to talk, but Blue Dragon on 360 was a 7.8 and Lost Odyssey was an 8.2 quite off the pace of most Square games (Chrono Cross 9.7, Vagrant Story 9.6, Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy X, Final Fantasy X-2, and Final Fantasy XII all got 9.5s)

Making one great game and one decent game does not make you a great developer. Especially in comparison to Square which has made dozens of excellent games.
