Forums - Gaming - Why is there damage in Forza but not GT?

Now having played both series for a long time, both are pretty much the same when it comes to driving simulation. One is not better then the other when it comes to cars or tracks. The only difference between the two is the intereface, thats it.

Now when it comes to game modes, races, ect we can't really have a clear winner because both have released at different times this gen with Gran Turismo 5 P only giving a taste of what was to come and Forza 2 releasing early in the 360 life span.

Maybe now we will see who the racing simulation king really is.

BTW if the number of cars is right for GT5 (600) expect alot of car manufacture events for single player.

if u remeber the damage in forza was rubbish.

even if you hit a wall at 150mph all that happens in a scraped bumper that slightly tries to fall off.

damage is gt5 will be coming but i hope its realistic and not like forza`s

that just prove that u have NEVER played Forza 2,  or u just a blind fanboy, which one?

ive had forza 2 and loved it. the topic was on the damage.

and i stick to my opinion that the damage in forza 2 was dribble.

what is more important is that forza 2 included damage physics which was pretty good, although i always turned it off even though you gain less prize money for it.

I've played it, and its unrealistic. I slammed into another car in Forza at around 120mph (the car was slowing toward a turn) The car substains damage, but I could still drive, in fact, the car I slammed into, drove off like nothing happened. It was able to maintain the same speed throughout. Is that realistic?

I'll ask you this, have YOU played Forza 2?

really? because when i crach at 120mph it affects the way of driving, as a matter of fact u can not drive without the car steering by itself because of the damage done, if u have played it, "u should know this" unless u turn the damage-off

i seen your post before and its clear u preffere the PS3 and thats fine, i just thought u where talking nonsense, maybe u dont see forzan 2 the way i do, no only it has damage that affects the car but u can customize the way u want not only performance but looks aswell and it still looks good for an old game.

ye it still looks good for an old game, and damage physics is also good, plus it has that custom paint job mode.

i made a stunning clio v6 in military cammo looked ace. i wish i had a foto of it it looked stunning.

i was only responding to the physical damage, all that happens is artificial scrapes and bent bumbers and bonnets its not realistic like people on here claim.

damage is being looked into for gt5, but amount of damage will depend on manufacures, i guess they will only allow minimal imo. so u may only see damage akin to forza damage mabey.
