Forums - Nintendo - Any Wii first or third person shooters on the near-term horizon?

ps- there is also Far cry vengeance but it supposed to suck. Guess thats why no one mentioned it.

edit: IGN says it has decent controls, so I guess its at least playable.

@Kn,

I highly recommend the Brothers in Arms series, I absolutely love the game.

The basic idea is that you play a paratrooper from WW2 who is in charge of a squad. The game is part shooter part tactical combat. Things like taking cover and flanking are vital to success and it really gives a great feeling of being in the action. I currently plan to buy the PC version coming out Nov 16th and the Wii version coming out Oct 16th.

Just to be clear they are not the same game, they are from the same series and have the same style of play but I believe the difference is that one is going through operation Market Garden and the other is somewhere else in the war (not sure where). In any case the game achieves a supreme level of immersion on the PC and I am really excited to add to that the Wii remote and see what it does to the series.

Anyways, if you haven't checked this one out, do yourself a favor and get familiar with the series. I suggest it for anyone, even if your PC can't handle it I think its coming for 360/PS3 also.

Edit: I doubled checked the Wii release date and it seems conflicted right now, its somewhere between mid Oct and Mid Nov though I am pretty sure.

To Each Man, Responsibility

Wow so no developer hasn't made more FPS's or are going to make FPS for the Wii?!? lol

Red Steel 2 is confirmed in development. Red Steel had okay controls but turning sucked (Something that was perfected by Metriod Prime 3). Hopefully Red Steel 2 will fix that. It should have online play too so that's probably the best bet for a good FPS on the horizon. If you don't like puzzles or exploration MP3 is not for you.
