Which means you need to watch more than 4 anime.
You already said you can't stand Renton at the beginning, which makes it a little unfair. Eureka 7 has some very good character development, and the world that it takes place in is awesome. I think you're not giving it anywhere near enough credit.

I mean the whole Coralian thing wasn´t interest. But the Renton and Eureka relationship was what got my hooked up.Also the anemone relationship was interesting too.Episode 48 is my favorite.I guess it is since BONES did the original FMA that also had a good character developement.

The whole Coralian thing was very interesting in my opinion. I won't spoil anything here, but I loved it.

I can stand stupid main characters. I can stand clumsy main characters. I can stand mostly incompetent main characters.
Anime is filled with far too many of all three IMO.
The one type of main character that bothers me is the angsty/whiney main character. I can't stand that kind. Renton has enough pent up angst and self-monologues to give Fred Savage from the Wonder Years a run for his money. Winnie meet Eureka.

I'm a sucker for the classics though.
But..but WoW I thought you liked Fred Savage since I thought you wrote it on your diary after you went to see a Sonic Youth show on 1987 in New York .Your parents left you there since you got good grades that year at school. But then you were walking down the streets and saw some kid getting his lunch stolen. So that trigger your angst and anger and you wrote "FRED SAVAGE IS THE R0xorRX" in your small diary the used to be blue and green. And in the cover there was picture of Akira Toriyama your favorite mangaka.I remember it as if it was yesterday.

Sure, he starts out like that, but he sure as hell doesn't end like that. He develops more than any other anime character I've seen. He's clearly just a kid, and it shows (unlike most anime where you'll have 12 year olds with the maturity of people double their age). Look at Hamlet. That's one of if not the greatest piece of literature in English history, and the main charactor is indecisive and cowardly all the way up until the end.
Edit: I guess what I'm saying is that Renton feels real in a way many characters don't. He's, what, fourteen years old when the show starts. Honestly, how is an average fourteen going to handle being thrust into the situation he's forced into. Not very well, to be honest. However, he grows and proves more than capable, and that's what I like. It's a great growing up story.
Other than the ones already mentioned like GTO (The anime ends halfway, the story continues in the manga and it's definitely worth followiing) and Code geass, which I think would really fit you're tastes I'd recommend Berserk(whose anime counterpart also stops and the manga continues the story, also watch episode 2 first and skip episode 1, you'll thank me later =P). If both GTO and Berserk pull you in the Manga hobby then I'll recommend Rurouni Kenshin. ^_^
