I love reading OS topics. I swear they're comedy gold mines.

As the market has deigned it:
PC, linux/windows dual boot.
Now I just need to figure out how to make Xine remember the choices for when I want to play a video file to my tv (like zoom player remembers the size/screen it last played on)...

Don't you read what people write? I said I have tried them all over the years, this includes mac and linux os's, linux is a joke and certainly not good for the average home user as it's too complicated for anyone to pick up and use right away, and no, linux does not do things 10x faster and 10x better, that is funny lmao......
Like I said before, there is a reason mac and linux have a pi*s poor marketshare in the OS market.

For day to day computer work I prefer Mac. And there are less viruses, less malware, less spyware in existance for it, so I prefer it for online banking, online trading etc.
For gaming I prefer Windows as there is no contest there. So to me my Core i7 Windows Vista box is basically a gaming box. And my Macbook is for day to day computer stuff.
Many Linux distros are getting very useable these days too. And many are getting very easy to install as well. Linux Mint supports a ton of stuff out of the box with an easy interface, and has a very easy installer. Plus you can easily see if it works or if you will like it or not as it has a LiveCD bootable CD to run off of before committing to a hard drive install. Again, gaming is no comparison to Windows. But I'd also choose this for daily tasks over Windows. It even supports four different desktop environment choices (KDE, Gmone, XFCE, and Fluxbox).
Most anticipated game: Dragon Age Origins (PC)
I have a PC, and ever since I got my vista, I find it the worst OS i've ever used. So I'm going to buy a Mac Book, and dual boot with Windows XP, for games. Also, Macs are reliable, and I dont have to worry about virus's or my Computer crashing every year or so.
Mac or PC, whatever. As long as it runs Linux.
They will know Helgan belongs to Helghasts

PC. With mac you overpay for brand name and nothing else. With PC you can create a machine at the price that is right for you. It also is vastly more popular, and thus, more compatible.
You know anybody that builds Mac gaming rigs? Why else own a computer, honestly, lol?
I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
