Forums - PC - Official Team Fortress 2 Thread

I've been doing pretty well lately. I have a screenshot of a game where I was something like a 3:1 kills/deaths ratio, and a whole bunch of buildings destroyed as well. I'll see if I can't post that when I get back later.

Yea that teleporter on the train tracks was not intentional and the train took it out right after. Anyway, just finished an intense 2fort match. It's fun when all of your teammates actually keep talking instead of just one or two guys. Pretty intense when you're the guy defending the intel room and you read/hear

"They broke through the outer sentries"
...
"Crap the second line has fallen!!"
...
"anyone in the intel room?"
Me: "I'm here with a level 3 sentry"
"Jesus man get ready"
"hold em off for 15 seconds, almost there"

We won the match, fun times.

I love putting together an offensive push with voice chat. The other night, we were stonewalled at the fourth CP on Dustbowl. I had been trying to take out their sentries as a Demoman and a Soldier, but every time I started throwing stickies or firing rockets, someone just came around the corner and took my head off. I called for some support and a Spy on our team said he'd go around sapping all the sentries, so I told him to wait until I got there. I gave the "go go go!" and rushed out while the sentries were deactivated. A few rockets pointed toward a few engineers and then "all their shit is down, RUSH!" We capped 15 seconds later. :D

Dustbowl is still my favorite map.
I was on a 32player dustbowl stage 3 and Overtime went on for about 2 minutes with both teams trying to occupy the last CP. That was some intense stuff!

2fort can be a really fun map or really boring map depending on the number of Engineers and Snipers. While I agree its important to have solid defense, I wonder if they realize you have to cap the flag to win the game and thats not really possible with half the team as Engies and Snipers.

dustbowl doesn't have overtime... and only one team can capture points. Were u thinking of another map?

I agree about 2fort though...  It's too easy to defend the intelligence, and the games go on forever.

Every capture map can have Overtime. If a team has a stake in the capture point, and the timer ends, it'll go into Overtime. The Blues can die, but there's still some time before the meter completely depletes, so there's a chance a few more Blues can get on the point during Overtime...theoretically it could go on for 2 minutes, sure hehe.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

well the terminology was confusing, saying that both teams were trying to take the point, casue it would already be red, and blu would be trying to occupy it, so i just figured he was confused.  I can't think of how an overtime on dustbowl would go for 2 minutes, they usually last about 10 seconds max.

32man servers.
people keep dying and coming continously. Actually maybe it was 1 minute but still really long compared to the typical

Ben and I were in the top 3 the two 40 minutes rounds we played. Good day for me atleast.
