Most games can flop or succeed but a few rare ones like GT Halo GTA MArio are a sure thing.
My bet is that GT5 will sell 7 million life time.

Anyways, obviously you dont want to hear any opinions, you want people to come in here, say something and then let you rip them apart, OR for them to come in here and agree with you.
I own all the Gran Turismo's, I own Forza 2, I own all 3 current Gen consoles, I say this so I can let you know Im not coming from a place of ignorance.
The game will sell well over its life time and it will outsell Forza 3. Saying other wise is as belivable as saying Killzone 2 would outsell Halo 3.
However, the game is not going to sell as well as you think. 7 to 8 million life time I would guess. MAYBE hit 9 million. Thats based on the evidence I have so far, which is Prologue, showing me its just GT4 with better graphics. Im with another poster who said that they want to be able to TRUELY customize my cars. Im losing the love for GT and its just because its falling into the JRPG rut. Be boy with amnesia, get quest, save girl, save world. Get car, pump money into car to change things you cant see, win race, repeat.
I'll not be waiting for your nasty responce on how idiotic I am, since you will be as nasty and rude to a moderator, Twestern, I dont care to see how you will react to a simple member.

Sorry if your preaching sounded like GT:5 was already being advertised at local events. I was just pointing out that it is not. And that you truely have no idea what Sony's marketing will be. Everyone responding to you is not your enemy I might add. So quit taking shit so personal. It is just a game after all and to be honest, you have nothing invested in it to get you so upset at people.

Yahh i do know, cause i have been playing GT since the beginign and its the reason i own PSs. Sony has always followed a similar marketing path for it.
I have read reviews for it in mags like Motor Trend Super Street Turbo and others (i went through a phaze of buying almost every car mag available) i played GT at Darknights and ImportFest. I have seen their commercials seen thir ads in magazines. GT has a huge prezence at sema with their GT awards, i watched thsoe being presented on Speed.
Things don't really change much as far as marketing games goes, its pretty streight forward.
Peoples stupidity upseats me, be it this anything else that for what ever reason brings in alot of ignorance ala if you modify your car you must be a street racer fast and furious bs or pit bulls are evil dogs lets ban them they are to dangerous. Lets let the gov decide what we can and can't watch on tv um HELL NO.
