So GT5 is the next wait for title for PS3 fanboys? I am sure seeing it hype up quite a bit lately.

Personally I am still waiting for GT Mobile for my PSP .... (the rumor hint that might actually not be a vaporware) I bought PSP at launch just for this game.

Good post, it'll reach at least 8 million, perhaps 10. And it will vastly outsell Forza 3 if you look at the sales history of the 2 series.

Yeah the one thing I can safely say without people jumping on me is that GT5 will outsell Forza 3, even in a 360 fanboys wet dream it would be like that.

If GT5 is being bundled, expect 10 million+ sales. But with no bundles, I don't see the game doing over 8 million.

Good God, I seriously doubt most of you have EVER played a racing game other than Gran Turismo.

rather silly statement, buddy.  I've actually never played a GT game, but the sales numbers are fairly obvious.

I love when peoples reason is GT3 had a 120 mil userbase. Well no, like you pointed out it came out right around launch.

GT5 won't sell as much as its predecessors, I think that's very probable. The PS3 isn't the software seller the PS2 was. Look at the highest selling games on the console, and imagine how much more GT5 would have to sell to meet expectations here.

Eventually, GT5 will reach a huge LTD, no doubt. It will be bundled and will sell throughout the life of the console. A true evergreen title.

However, golden cow or not, GT5 is on the PS3, not the PS2. It's probably not gonna sell like GT3.

Also, game sales aren't as much about userbase as they are about competition at the time. Sometimes coming out early in a console cycle can be a boon, assuming the library is weak and you're AAA. Like Resistance: FoM, for instance.

I think Rallysport Challenge 2 on the Xbox was my favorite racer last gen. Really fantastic game. If you've never checked it out, do so. This gen it's Grid.
