Yes, it's the best game ever. Unfortunately its a mega failure. Probably won't even make the money back.

07 was less, 08 was less, but 09 was almost double the Wii version. That's a huge jump and we all know the Wii has been moving the most consoles.

PS3 sales are going way way up. 

Wii sales are trending up until 09 but 09 is missing data it looks like.

360 is kicking everyone's arse all over the field.

Figures someone would throw on the "anything not aiming for photo-realistic is kiddie" bullshit.

And it is bullshit. By that logic, Brain Training is for kids, and so is Wii Fit, and No More Heroes, and Street Fighter IV, and we know damn well they're not.



A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

People forget that much of the Madden user base are casual gamers who by their consoles predominantly for that game (and maybe NCAA Football other sports games).

Basically, with the Wii, you are damned if you do and damned if you don't. You can do photo realistic because it cannot look as good as the PS3 or Xbox 360. And you can't do something different because its not photo realistic.

I think last year's 09 Wii version sold not as well because (a) the every year fans own other consoles and (b) the 08 version had motion issues. I don't think it was the cover art.

I personally like the approach. I like to know I am playing pretend games.

Looks like EA is trying their best to keep away the Madden audience from Wii and later shaft the franchise for it because of bad sales. First was the terrible All-Play idea, now this.

good direction for them, they can only hope to appeal to a different audience, like blitz did on the n64. Most people buy madden on the 360/ps3, especially since no NFL player plays it on Wii.
