personally I think defining a true gamer simply by how many modern generation systems they have is a complete load. First of all not all gamers can afford that, secondly its a little short sighted.
I can see what you mean by not being a single system loving fanboy, but you can't judge that by just having all the systems.
A true gamer is someone who loves the industry as a whole, past and present, and all sides of the spectrum (consoles and pc), and in my opinion also supports the industry by avoiding purchasing used games when possible (naturally this does not include games that are no longer made).
I love videogames as a whole. My system this generation is a ps3, last generation an xbox, my all time favorite console is the NES, and my all time favorite developer is SEGA. In other words my love is spread all over the industry and I'm proud of that.
