For the weekend:
Angels and Demons made $48m - not good I think. Hopefully the word of mouth will be good but I don't know about that either.

Star Trek made $43m - very good - only off 43%.

The weekend isn't even over yet...

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Amazing that Star Trek got so close to Angels & Demons first weekend. The hold is even better than Iron Man's second weekend last year.
Terminator & Night at the museum will be big(esp Terminator) but it's a holiday weekend so Star Trek(and all movies) will not drop as far as they normally would. $300m is a stretch but not out of the question.
The more I see of Terminator the more it blows the silly looking Transformers out of the water.

Playing: Borderlands(great co-op,HUGE amount of content),Too Human(better late than never lol),Saints Row 3(Penetrator ftw),Minecraft 360,Harry Potter Lego.

Patiently waiting for:  Tomb Raider, Borderlands 2

Summer movies head to head.
wolverine: $151m
Star Trek: $146.6m
Angels and Demons: $48m

I think Star Trek has a chance to go over $250m which will be awesome for this busy summer. it still has a slight chance to come out on top.  it is the best movie of the year so far.

Angles and Demons opened to over 100 million usd in outside of the us however. So its going to do very well overall.

Not including Sunday's numbers (these are off of BoxOfficeMojo.com). Star Trek is already on the verge of being beaten by Angels and Demons after just two days in theatrical release.

Star Trek

Domestic: $147,611,000 75.0%
+ Foreign: $49,264,668 25.0%
= Worldwide: $196,875,668

Wolverine:

Domestic: $151,091,000 55.1%
+ Foreign: $123,056,170 44.9%
= Worldwide: $274,147,170

Angels and Demons:

Domestic: $48,000,000 31.5%
+ Foreign: $104,300,000 68.5%
= Worldwide: $152,300,000

Moon
Inglorious Basterds
District 9
Antichrist ( If it comes out during Summer)
Up
The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus
Public Enemies (maybe)
Drag Me to Hell (maybe)

Star Trek was beyond epic, I loved it. Next on the list for me is inglorious Basterds and Terminator Salvation

Big weekend coming up - Memorial's Day.

Any predictions?
Will Terminator make over $100m over the long holiday?
I think Star Trek will make more money than this past weekend.

Angels & Demons will make most of it's money from the overseas market. Davinci Code made $500m+ outside of the US. Staggering numbers really, so A&D was guaranteed a good reception.
Star Trek is a dead franchise overseas and the movies have never been big.It will do just fine but I would expect the next one to be more of an international blockbuster.

I'd guess Terminator @ $110m. Night at the Museum 2 @ $75-90m. Angels & Demons $32m. Star Trek $30m

All wild and crazy guesses :)
