Forums - General - Crank 2: high voltage - what a f'ed up movie

And i loved it.

Say what you will about Jason Statham, but he makes some weird good movies.

Crank was off the wall but this one is really weird and twisted.

and it was awesome.

get drunk before you see it.  you'll love it.

How drunk? Plastered, or so plastered I wake up in the theatre the next morning with sharpie whiskers on my face and "I like dick" written on my forhead?

haha, yeah that'll do.

The best is when you are ridiculously drunk already and bring a flask into the theater with you. I did that when I went to see Meet The Spartans. I almost got us kicked out of the theater I was so damn loud. Man, am I glad I didn't have to sit through that movie sober.

I definitely made myself throw up later so I wouldn't have a wicked hangover.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

It was awesome! I saw it twice. I love in the electric plant or whatever when they turn into giants and fight like an old godzilla movie! It was awesome.

That annoying skinny asian girl?  She was awesome.

That dude who has body turrets syndrome?

and all the ladies.

Just awesome.

I wish I was drinking beer though.
