Forums - Microsoft - Do you buy map packs ?

So I've recently been gifted some MS points, and I was thinking of buying the snowblind mappack for gears 2 and probably the legendary mappack for halo 3 as well.

Being that I've never done this before I was wondering if someone could tell me if it's worth it to buy map packs, or would I be better of buying something else with the MS points

How can you possibly misspell QWERTY? It's spelled correctly on the damn keyboard.

I would buy a game unless you play online Halo 3 or Gears 2 a lot.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

Get Castle Crashers.

I just used points to buy Operation Anchorage for Fallout 3.  Seems worth it so far.  Its for the PC version, but the points work the same for the Xbox 360 version.  Of course you'd need to have and like Fallout 3 for that to be a better choice on what to spend your points on.  I also heard the add-on for Mass Effect is worthwhile.  Was thinking of getting that soon.

Currently playing:  PC:  Wolfenstein  PS2:  Final Fantasy X  PS3: All-Pro Football 2K8 Wii:  Force Unleashed  PSP:  God of War: CoO Xbox 360:  Gears of War 2

Most anticipated game:  Dragon Age Origins (PC)

yes i love the map packs / or get banjo-kazooie or banjo-tooie

The Snowblind maps are actually pretty good Horde and Multiplayer maps.

Courtyard and Underhill are great horde maps, the remake of Fuel Depot is nice and all of them are pretty fun execution maps.

@TRios
yeah I don't see much value in the combustile mappack though
