I shall bet, FF VII is going to be revealed either at square, or sony conference.

Am I just being stupid, but why would a video at the end of CC blatantly advertising The Story Continues in Final Fantasy VII, to have the remade FFVII being released on a different platform?
I feel that the remade FFVII is more likely to appear on the PSP, especially if CC gets good sales, which it has already.
Also, didn't SE state that they would not be announcing more games on the PS3 until they saw sales of the units dramatically increasing.
Also there are over 6m PSP's in Japan and over 23m WW, a remake on the PSP would cost dramatically less than on the PS3. And in Japan, there are only around 1.2m PS3's with under 5m WW.
Come this time next year, there could easily be 35m PSP compared to 10-15m PS3's...so a much bigger fanbase as well.
Prediction (June 12th 2017)
Permanent pricedrop for both PS4 Slim and PS4 Pro in October.
PS4 Slim $249 (October 2017)
PS4 Pro $349 (October 2017)

All good points davygee. I figure we should wait until TGS. If they are remaking it, surely that's when they will announce it.

I can't see SE changing the platform for a remake TBH. FFVII was so big for the PS brand, they will keep it there.

Soriku FF VII is contracted exclusively on sony platforms, you will never see FF VII on a nintendo system(other than kingdomhearts COM).
Again like I said..
FF VII will not fit on a 1.8gb disc.

Well its published by sony, so it has to be contracted. The psp UMD is 1.8gb

I think they will remake it, but I think you are wrong on the console. FF:wII will be coming late 2008 and will knock your face off. Square doesn't support doomed technology. And the 600 dollar black box of ass that I have hooked up to my TV is just that, doomed. I thought PS3 was going to be the clear winner this time round, but without any really fantastic games yet, and with two better competitors in the mix, PS3 really has no chance, and I am mad that I waited outside to buy it and kept it instead of selling it on eBay.
Of course, if a new version of FF:VII with totally revamped everything and ADDED content (lets face it, while prettier graphics would be nice, I want some more side quests, Ive played the damned game through 9 times at this point.) comes out, I'll probably switch my tune and trash 360 for sucking. Right now Im just pissed at being a PSWii60 owner instead of just a Wii60 owner with a cool $1000 from selling the PS3 at launch.
Am I the only one seeing multiple gball and blu3 acounts being made? I seriously doubt these are new people.

So does that mean Square has to contact Eidos too? Since Eidos also published FF7.
For the PC.
The truth is, you don't have a flipping clue what publishing a game means, which doesn't surprise me because you often have no clue what your talking about.
Each publishing deal is different based on the contract signed. Since you don't have a copy of the publishing contract you have no idea if Sony has any say or not. All a publishing deal is, is one company saying to another that they will make the first companys product for a cut of the money, and sometimes other incentives are built in.
Even if square did make an exclusivity deal it's very unlikely that it would be "forever" as, nobody makes deals like that. Definitly not with a game they expect to be big. If anything it's likely that it was a 5-10 year won't put it on another cosole type deal. (Not counting PC apparently.)
Which would make the timing very important. Hey it just passed that time too.
Though i'd still bank on it being on the PS3 your reasons for it being their are silly.
