My point is. Why spend money on it when you easily just couldve bought a dance mat for your PS2, cus it fills the same purpose. Its fun when you have friends over, but in the long run, theres not much else to do with it. Im sure Brawl, Galaxy and Kart is fun games. But its still aimed towards that once in a month friends party. Its not like your going to sit at home and spend massive amout of hours racing around in Mario Kart by yourself..

And obviously Fun isnt bad, but that wasnt the point in my view on the console. Its just that it dosent get put to good use. And i dont see why anyone would spend money on something that other consoles does better as a total package. Im not trying to troll on the Wii and its fanbase, but in my opinion, i dont see how one can chose this piece of hardware over others. I think its all in the GREAT marketing..

Because this offers you a different experience then anything the others will and instead of taking graphis as far as possible they have taken controlls to the next level something alot of people have been waiting for a long time both gamers and non gamers and the merketing was a pure homerun put all those things together and add Wiifit to it and you get the Wii formula.

I bought my wii

- because I love the controls

- i've been around since a time where impressive graphics meant, that the background was nearly photo-real

- therefore I know, that good games don't need good graphics

- I know, that if a game takes me a too big effort to play online, is a time waster for me

- I know, that if I start playing seriously in clans and stuff, my social life will suffer

- I love playing with my friends

- I come from a time, when the height of multiplayer-entertainment was to play four-player-splitscreen on one television and I still prefer this to playing some random guy on the internet

- a time, when playing multiplayer meant, to have a beer or two and talk bullshit, with people you really have something in common

- the Nintendo friends code system makes sure, that I won't waste my life on video gaming (just the time I'll enjoy it by not pressing the typical online social pressure on me)

- I never had doubts about my choice, because the controls pay me back for last gen graphics and are still better or at least equal, than in the 20 years in my gaming life before.

- If I want to play serious anyway, I'll buy myself the latest gaming PC

This doesn't mean, that I don't like a good online play, enjoy astonishing graphics, but hey it's games and the Wii suits best to my regular life! And it seems that a lot of people who grew up with a gameboy/ATARI/NES or a PC feel the same way.

add there BC and i don't have to write anything more. maybe except the fact that i love making game parties whre 1 or 2 of my friends play any game(harder or more ridiculous the better) after few bottles of beer and the rest people are just making dirty jokes about them - priceless. this is something you won't get when you have ps360.
