I agree the Wii wouldn't have sold as well as it has w/o Wii Sports. Many people saw his game and decided to opt for a Wii early on because it showed great use of motion controls. If it wasn't Wii Sports then it would've been something else anyway

I also think that the Wii still would have been Market leader regardless though. Might have been a closer race in the end but I give Nintendo a pat on the back. Sony should have done the same with a game pre-downloaded showcasing Six-axis and MS with 3 months free Xbox Live membership. Looks like Nintendo did the smart thing though.

so i guess we don't buy chose console by game libraries but specification, huh? still makes me wonder why ps2 didn't have same weekly rant when it was the weakest console on the market and have similar games library.

Hey not fair. I was 0 when the NES was released and I came from a computer illiterate family. Nes and SNES/Genesis was all I had till 96 when we got our first PC lol.

I've said it many times and I'll say it again. Nintendo is buying and selling the same unit causing millions of transaction of Wii sales that we don't see in stores for years.
