how bout instead of insulting the mods ability to do modding, politely suggest that at some point the ability for mods to move threads be implemented? I think thats why they get locked instead of moved around here... because they can't move em.

Moving threads would be a lot better then restarting threads. I'm surprised the mods don't have the privileges to do so as its been a pretty standard tool for mods in forums I've been in/run in the past.

Well, the thread is quite popular and you guys falls for these threads like we own Sony stock.

the best way to respond to those threads is to ignore them, but each and every time, it gets 100 plus post. I usually prefer posting on threads i like.

Well it seems like a rather large oversight to me considering the mods are the ones that should presumably be doing the modding, not the administrators. I'd hope such functionality will be included in the new version of the site as locking and creating a new thread seems like a pretty messy way of dealing with the issue.

I don't see too many threads in the wrong forums though (I could be wrong...) so maybe its just not high on the priority list. Which is fair enough.
