Forums - Nintendo - Best Buy intimates that CoD:MW2 isn't coming to Wii

well, it's their loss of money...

they'll make a lot of profit on a Wii version for sure

Well my guess is that if they don't make a Wii version there wont be a PS2 version. Seeing that it would be easier to port between these two. So yes they will lose out on profit which is a shame for Wii and PS2 owners but they must be happy with the results of the HD twin/PC/DS combo.

Just out of curiosity, what does Activision have on the way for the Wii?

According to IGN...

X-Men Origins: Wolverine

Space Camp

Big League Sports: Summer

Guitar Hero: Smash Hits

Little League World Series Baseball 2009

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs

Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2

Bakugan

Chaotic

Guitar Hero V [working title]

Shrek Goes Fourth

Thanks.

Unless those Marvel liscenced games are good, I won't be buying an Activision game anytime soon.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 is probably going to be fantastic. It's an easy to get into action RPG with great combat, new fusion of superpowers and two of the best ever Marvel stories ripped straight from the comics. If you can find it, pick up the first also, or the X-Men Legends(same type of game) titles for the Gamecube.

I played the first one on the PS2 with some friends.  I thought it was pretty fun.  I also heard that the Wii version wasn't so good, so I'm a little worried about the sequel.

The two big issues seemed to be no online(which may or may not be an issue in the sequel, likely not though) and tacked on motion controls(which may not get fixed for the UA2). Overall though, if you keep one Activision Wii title on your radar this year, this game should definitely be it. The story itself, if implemented correctly could be among the year's best. The comics they are based on are modern day classics, and deal with some very heady subjects.

Same goes for GameStop.

They just add in titles to their system based on what they expect to happen. Hell, GameStop had God of War III in their system four months before it was even announced, listed only as "God of War" under the ps3 section. They do it in because maybe some dumb fool (like me) will pre-order that far in advance, giving them a free $5.

They don't actually know what's going to happen. They rarely do, up until something is announced to the public at a trade show, or until they receive private information in the months just prior to launch (regarding SKUs and whatnot).

I agree. There is no announcement, just a guess.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

I suspect that if MW2 is indeed coming to the Wii, any annoucement would be held back until E3, where we should see all platforms revealed by Activision.

I am personally getting it for my 360 over my Wii as I had the first MW on the 360 but I`m definately hoping that Wii-only owners dont miss out again on this fantastic franchise.

Well, the only two games ACTIVISION ever makes now are CoD and Guitar Hero....

Why was EA the evil one again?

Cause they closed westwood studioes the founders of the RTS genre.

Cancelled renegade 2 and tiberian incoursion.

And killed... command & conquer as we knew it.

Check out my game about moles ^

my guess, IF IT IS COMING, they held the annoucement back till E3 so that they can add WM+ support to it.

but this is just an if it is coming.

I don't see how this game would be improved by M+...
