My list in order of how great or how well I liked the current JRPG this gen. (Can't wait to add WKC, FF 13, End of Eternity and Magna Carta 2 to my list :D)

#1. Star Ocean: The Last Hope

#2. Lost Odyssey

#3. Tales of Vesperia

#4. The Last Remnant

#5. Blue Dragon

#6. Infinite Undiscovery

#7. Eternal Sonata

#8. Enchanted Arms

(Did not add Valkyria Chronicles simply because it is a SRPG thats my only reason.)

I know you will hate me for saying this, to an extent g-value, but I have to say LO. Simply because the emotion is so gripping in the game. ToV is a top notch jrpg however, and I recomend everyone to play it. :)

Why exactly did you like Star Ocean? I'm at the end of Disc 2 and it's one of the worst designed JRPGs I've ever played. It's crashed on me so many times, it's infuriating. (I even have it installed!)

Out of all the hours I've played it its never crashed on me. I suggest you take it back to wherever you bought it from and ask for a new copy.

Really now? I didn't crash for the first 20 hours. Now I average 1 crash for every 2 hours.

Really. Never crashed on me. Ya got something faulty going on there, may be your 360, but I'm more inclined to think its your game disc if it never did it for the first disc.

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

I for one love the battle sytem to death plus I really enjoyed the story starting right around the part when they were heading EN 2 the first time. I really got into the characters. my girlfriend and I both loved the story a lot! In fact my gf is a huge ToV fan she swore she would not find one that she thought was better but she loved the story so much in star ocean for it to take ToV as her favorite rpg this gen.

Xbox 360 wants to KinectPS3 wants to Move!  Why are both systems having such relationship problems?  The reason is they both become so infactuated with desire while watching the Wii as it waggles on by. They simply want what they can't have.

Looking through a good deal of answers in this thread, I see alot of "well I haven't played Tales of Vesperia...but Lost odyssey was great so I'll choose that" or something very similar. So grains of salt are neccesary here.

i saw that too. i also saw a i(wfz) havnt played either, but thanks to the people that can (actually)answer this question.

I would think so too, but my story is incredibly similar to Naz's SO4 review.

I will definitely be adding it to my Gamefly account so I can see the extra stuff. I won't be buying the game twice though.
