A full fledged simulator spawned from the most marshmellow mushy commercial arcade racers of them all? Recipe for success...
I will try it but it looks like they're expanding upon the concept of Pro Street (which is beyond shit) and they might fail horribly (in spite of good visuals, amazingly).
Why remove every aspect of Need for Speedism to make something other developers make tons better?
They'll be lining up against GT and Forza and other behemoths, good luck!

PS: That Paris track (which is fictional) is so ripped off of GT 4 that its not even funny, EA. Could be a racing version of Limbo of the Lost.

Actually NFS is in the hands of I believe 4 different devs with 4 different games.

Shift actually is likely to eat GT and Forza alive. You obviously know Simbin, well here is Shifts dev team:

I know there are many NFS games coming out but this one seems to be the main focus (the other ones look cheap).

That list certainly bodes well, though... Could actually be worth getting after all. But you never know, good EA titles are few and far inbetween. Thanks for the info anyway selnor!

looks good but ill pass ill just play GT5 a more established sim racer they need to make a sim open world racer with cops and cop chases i want to do stuff in games that i cant do in real life

You really are missing alot if you think GT is the best sim racers. Simbin destroy both Forza and GT for simulation.

GTR2 was amazing. And their new engine is stunning in Race Pro. ( Check out a few posts up. )

Race Pro kilss GT5P and Forza 2 for realism. They would need to entirely change the engine for GT5 from Prologue to even get close.

With that said, ( again look a few posts up ) Shift has more than 20 members who worked on GTR2 drom Simbin working on this game. Shift will be very impressive. And amazingly graphically as well it's the best of any racer. Loving the post processing effects like in KZ2. :)

Is race pro really that good?  Why did it get such bad scores??

Oh yes my friend. I have played many sim games with GTR 2 being my previous fave. But Race Pro is ultra realsitic. The only way to really play this is with the Force feedback wheel, no assists and full difficulty. Seriously this game is designed for the hardest of simulationists of us. Purely the game is console only and it's not accessable in the slightest to most people.

As a long standing GTR player, this is better than GTR2 in the physics, racing and movement feel of the cars. After all this is the new Simbin engine with improvements of the award winning GTR2.

If it was a PC only title the reviews would have been around GTR2's. PC reviewers would have lapped up the realiam here.

It sure is looking good but its definitely going to be in the back seat once GT5 comes out for me. I hope Shift is compat with the Logitech G25 wheel (best wheel for racing out there atm imo).

Good thing Shift comes out this year as it gives me something to play until GT5 comes out. The amount of cars and tracks in GT5 alone make it more worth wild to play for me. All those cars to tune individually to get the best out of them and try knocking of atleast 1 sec per tune. I just cant get enough of the GT series.

Yes im a GT Fan. ^^
