Forums - Sony - Ratchet and Clank...Best Platformer in the past 5 years?

Quality and Quantity wise... I dont know what platformer even comes close to Ratchet and Clank in the past 5 years.

This game looks like a Pixar movie. Great animation and graphics. Decent story and voice acting.

Gameplay is TOP NOTCH. It has elements from all the best platformers ever - Mario, Sonic, Crash... has a lot of mini-games, and it's a Third Person Shooter.

What could Sony/Insomniac do to increase sales for this game? IMO Multiplayer on R&C would be amazing. Also numbering their games could help, as many ppl seem to get confused with all the different R&C games out there...Deadlocked, Quest for Booty, Crack in Time, Tools of Destruction, etc...

Also I wouldnt mind seeing Insomniac take a break from Resistance to create a new IP that plays exactly like R&C, but design/art/story wise is suited to the 16-35 demographic.

For me it is still SMG..but R&C has shown me that Sony has some really good first party support. So a close second place for me.

SMG > LBP > R&C.

But R&C is still awesome.

Is this serious? Super Mario Galaxy trumps it and its not even close...

SMG is better in its pure platformer level design and play mechanics.

But of course R&C leans more towards an adventure/action game and is great in its own way.

I'm pretty sure most people think Super Mario Galaxy is better.

For me its a tie between R&C and LBP.

I only got 3 3rd party games the rest are 1st party.

What makes SMG better? R&C has everything SMG does, plus a lot more.
