It won't help, much like the end of the life cycle for the n64 (not stating this is the end of the PS3 life, but they have no hope to capture any lead) good games are coming out way too late.

She's still dead in the water, far too behind to catch up in any reasonable time.

Hey, it has a party system!  In other words, the ONLY thing you would be missing is cross-game voice chat from XBL.  And, I have a feeling that difference might be eliminated at E3.

The PS3 won BEST EXCLUSIVES for 2008.  A bunch of "good games" came out a little after 1 year of being on the market.  You consider that "too late", huh?  LOL!  Geez.  The PS3 is only 7+ million units behind the X360 (at the 2 1/2 year mark).  The PS3 still has over 6 years left on the market and X360 only has 3 years left on the market.

In other words, all PS3 has to do is keep the lead within 10+million and wait 'til X360 dies off from lack of support.  Then, the PS3 would be even or take the lead 1 year after that point.  That still leaves 2 more years to expand that lead.

I hope you feel better now that you've let your inner troll enjoy a minute of freedom :)

Now - please - let's not do this.

Only thing that will save the PS3 is a much needed price slash. That also only works if Microsoft doesn't cut their price as well and has no more block buster games coming out, which is highly unlikely. The leader of the console cycle is the one making the most bank and selling the most software/hardware so unless Sony thinks it can beat the Wii it can kiss ever taking the lead away good bye.

If you're right about Microsoft having X amount of time left in their console cycle, then expec another system to come out to replace the 360. Of course then we'll be right back in the same situation we are in right now, Microsoft having a head start which Sony cannot overcome without the support of Japan (don't expect that support to last) and Nintendo riding high after the Wii bringing out (we all expect) a HD wii system with just enough tweaks to keep the system familure while satisfying the lust for HD gaming.

Sorry, but Sony can bring out blockbuster after blockbuster and get all the bias reviews and praise on the gaming sites. The War is lost.

I believe that reviewers give too many 9's and 10's these days, but I don't see how that shows a bias to Sony, if anything, only a bias to AAA games. Games like the Last Remnant had horrible reviews, but I'm going to wait out and actually play it before I judge it, same with any other game I never played. The only time I really make a pre-judgement is when there's overwhelming negative reviews both from professionals and users.

Have you played KZ2, LBP, etc for more than a few times and minutes? If not, how can you say that the reviews are untrue and biased?

So let me understand: the PS3 is getting many good games I enjoy. They will become profitable on hardware and in your words will get blockbuster after blockbuster in software, bringing even more money. They came out with their console over a year later than MS, but they have kept the trust and mindshare of the third parties. The brand is still strong now that for the first time they had to play catch-up.

But "The War is lost", you say. A terrible war indeed, raging in the hearts and minds of fanboys all over the net.

Hmm, you know what? Fine by me, and I bet also fine by Sony. I'll enjoy my games, they'll enjoy real world business.

Now stop derailing the thread, please. This was about Uncharted 2 and its technical prowess.

Last year's total sales were only separated by 30K units with the PS3 being twice the cost of entry (but more value).  That's terrible news for X360.

Yes, there will be another Xbox in a couple of years.  There will be another PS as well.  What's that have to do with the sales of the previous generation?  The generation console war is only over when ALL the numbers are in.  That's life.  Deal with it.

X360 reviews were HEAVILY biased when they had NO competition in the marketplace and for some time after that.  That's how they piled up those AAA scores in the first year.  Of course, you don't want to acknowledge that, though.

You're right, WereKitten!  This is about the tech prowess of Uncharted 2 due to the PS3.  The fanboys sorrows compel them to change the subject (troll).  Anyway, I wonder how much tech info they will release about this game before the release date.  I would really like to see the SPU usage on a dev kit like GG did for Killzone 2!

I am more of an MS fan, but I am not a Sony hater and I agree with your PS3 had the Best Exclusives statement for 2008 and as of right now the same is true for 2009. I will add that if Bioshock 2 were still exclusive for 360 I would disagree though. At this point I don't think Sony really cares about beating Microsoft at all, they care about surviving this generation.

Sony is sort of like the N64 of this generation, it has a steady flow of great games, but with an image problem.  I think this generation is going to be longer then most of the previous generation of consoles and the longer life well be good for all 3 contenders to do well.
