It won't help, much like the end of the life cycle for the n64 (not stating this is the end of the PS3 life, but they have no hope to capture any lead) good games are coming out way too late.

She's still dead in the water, far too behind to catch up in any reasonable time.

The PS3 won BEST EXCLUSIVES for 2008.  A bunch of "good games" came out a little after 1 year of being on the market.  You consider that "too late", huh?  LOL!  Geez.  The PS3 is only 7+ million units behind the X360 (at the 2 1/2 year mark).  The PS3 still has over 6 years left on the market and X360 only has 3 years left on the market.

In other words, all PS3 has to do is keep the lead within 10+million and wait 'til X360 dies off from lack of support.  Then, the PS3 would be even or take the lead 1 year after that point.  That still leaves 2 more years to expand that lead.

Only thing that will save the PS3 is a much needed price slash. That also only works if Microsoft doesn't cut their price as well and has no more block buster games coming out, which is highly unlikely. The leader of the console cycle is the one making the most bank and selling the most software/hardware so unless Sony thinks it can beat the Wii it can kiss ever taking the lead away good bye.

If you're right about Microsoft having X amount of time left in their console cycle, then expec another system to come out to replace the 360. Of course then we'll be right back in the same situation we are in right now, Microsoft having a head start which Sony cannot overcome without the support of Japan (don't expect that support to last) and Nintendo riding high after the Wii bringing out (we all expect) a HD wii system with just enough tweaks to keep the system familure while satisfying the lust for HD gaming.

Sorry, but Sony can bring out blockbuster after blockbuster and get all the bias reviews and praise on the gaming sites. The War is lost.

I believe that reviewers give too many 9's and 10's these days, but I don't see how that shows a bias to Sony, if anything, only a bias to AAA games. Games like the Last Remnant had horrible reviews, but I'm going to wait out and actually play it before I judge it, same with any other game I never played. The only time I really make a pre-judgement is when there's overwhelming negative reviews both from professionals and users.

Have you played KZ2, LBP, etc for more than a few times and minutes? If not, how can you say that the reviews are untrue and biased?
