Well...he isn't totally wrong. When you finish the game, you start over and the game gets 40% harder (enemy life and damage). After that , I believe it gets 8% harder on each iteration. So that's probably the different difficulty settings ;)

Damn I probably won't ever be able to beat the game then :/
|
Pretty much what I thought. Cliched as it sound, you'll learn the patterns and you'll be able to master it. Seriously.
|
Ha we'll see....after a certain amount of tries I will probably get frustrated though and never want to play again (happened with TTFAF on expert....I always wanted to beat that song but I never could no matter what I did.
|
TIP: Starting off as Royalty is a very easy option. The first few levels will be a breeze.
|
Thanks for the tip! i'll use that guy for my first time of playing!

Some more things that will help you out:
1. NEVER use any of the Boss Souls. They are to be traded for spells and miracles or for upgrading weopons.
2. You'll want the Kris blade if your going to be a mage.
3. The Thief's Ring is your best friend if you're a mage. EDIT: Well, the Fragrant ring too, of course
|
Do you have to buy that stuff or is it dropped by enemies?
|
You start off with the Fragrant ring if you are a Royal. It really helps.
Thief's Ring is in 1-1 check out http://demonssouls.wikidot.com/rings
Kris blade is in 2-1 http://demonssouls.wikidot.com/kris-blade
I quite liked reading the details on all the weopons and items online. It was a lot of fun and sometimes it's the only way to know what's going on. BUT, I must stress that walkthroughs are for pussies Well, except of course if you've died 20 times agains a boss and want some tips
