Argggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!

I hate those Maneaters! I've not had too much trouble with any boses except these guys. They seem to find a new way to kill me everytime whether it's pounding me to death, firing that green crap at me or just knocking me off the edge! Got bored of failing there so went to try and do 4-2 instead but got killed by that black skeleton 3 times in a row so think I'll give it a rest until tomorrow to save my controller from getting smashed. Might have to switch back to some heavier armour for a bit.

@CrazyHorse

The maneaters are the most annoying boss for me as well, glad that I could one shot it now i'm my playthrough, I wouldn't want to repeat it over and over again as I did before >_
I found that it's best if you bring a Dragon weapon, a spear preferably, and just stick to the center, keeping the torch between you and the maneaters, that way you can kill them easily.

Heavier armour will only slow you down, you'll want to keep those dodges as fast as you can.

Current PC Build

Ok so I just figured out (at level 26) that we could click on square to see the weapons stats :/

This game needs more tutorial!

True. I kept dying too until I tried going in the center circle where I had some space to dodge, and use my fireballs. Dodge >>>> Block

I got both PW and PB in world 1 today, I want to be done with all the tendencies (including character) before moving on to NG+. I have reached 105 soul level now. I have also killed both Dragons and Old King Doran.

Seriously, I'm loving this game more with each passing day!

@stones

I seem to be very lucky so far : I have 2 pure sharpstones, 2 pure hardstones and 1 of each except Spiderstone! Without ANY farming! (just gecko hunting)

@Boutros

That's the beauty of this game, it entices you to learn and doesn't teach you much, just the basics for your survival :D

I only recently learned that you could do motions with the sixaxis instead of choosing them in the X menu, only after more than 50 hours of gameplay later :P

@routsonmanman

I'm doing all the PB and PW tendencies too, got world 1 and 4 out of the way, got the Pure Bladestone hunting out of the way as well and now going to do PB in world 2 since i've already done PW.

Now i'm at Soul Level 121, thanks to the massive 7 hour grinding for the Pure Bladestone xD

Don't do that, you're supposed to die in the tutorial, only a very few number of people have beaten the Vanguard in the Tutorial, it's extremely hard.

I feel honored. :)

At some point, something must have come from nothing...

...nothing can come from nothing...

@nen-suer

Good going with the Tower Knight :)

Yeah, you can only move forward in Boletaria Castle now if you defeat any of the archdemons in any of the other worlds, the X-3 stage bosses.

Try to do the 4-X, the Shrine of Storms area, it's the easiest one to pass, just watch out for the dual wielding black skeletons and always keep your shield up around the Silver Skeletons

@Hiko

Good going with defeating the tutorial boss :) With what class did you do it?

I almost beat Vanguard in the tutorial when I made my Royal, had him down to maybe 3 more hits before I messed up. Keep meaning to go back and try again, but it's kind of easy-ish with Royal. It seems like you can make him use his stomp move if you attack him from behind one of his legs too. If you do it right, he'll just spam the stomp and never turn to attack you, and that move is crazy easy to dodge.

Time to go rock some NG+

@r505Matt

Yeah, I beat him with Royal as well, kinda easy to just stay on his back and throw the Soul Arrow spell.

With my current Thief, I managed to get him to 1/4 HP, but he swiped me in mid-combo >_
