Ah, the firebomb guy, I know exactly where that was at. The nice thing is, you learn to be careful there next time.

You stay in soul form unless you defeat a boss or use a stone of ephemeral eyes.

The rapier is pretty weak on most enemies, I ended up using a falcoin for most of my first playthrough, but whatever you feel comfortable with is good. Continued good luck to you...

I know. But I had read that if you die in soul form, you lose all souls you have forever. But I died in soul form and still got my souls back. Good for me then, lol.

You only lose all your souls if you can't get back to where you died...if you die again before you get back to that spot, then you lose all your souls. In other words, you can always recover your souls from your previous death, but never 2 deaths back....

Yeah but i SUCK at PvP. I probably don't have enough Stone of Eph... Eyes to win 3 matches! Really, I'm terrible!

If I were to try that, though, is there a certain level where I'm likely to get invaded?

Well, you can always requisit help when going PvP ;) When I get my PS3 back, I would be glad to help you, should you ever need to.

I love PvP, I only lost twice and won more than 10 times, it's all about timming and getting the jump on your opponent, as Backstabs = Ownage xD

@marciosmg

You won't lose your souls if you die in soul form, you only lose them forever if you die once, then die before getting to your previous bloodstain, as that one will be overwritten with the most recent one.

I managed to beat Phalanx quite easily yesterday and then took on the Tower Knight today and failed very quickly! Is it worth consuming the souls from the defeated bosses or is it best to hang on to them to get better weapons/spells later?

Do not consume the souls of the bosses, you'll need them to get access to some unique weapons and spells ;)

Here is the list of what each soul does: http://demonssouls.wikidot.com/bosses

Also, Tower Knight is a major difficulty jump from Phalanx. My tip is to first rush past him and finish off all of the Archers on both towers before confronting him. After doing that, rush back to him, and always keep to his back, hitting his legs until he falls down. The trick is to always be on the look out, never hitting him more than once, or twice if you're feeling bold.

If you're a Ranged/Magic user, you can snipe at him from each of the sides, as his only ranged attack, the Lance throw, is pretty easy to see and dodge ;)

I beat the Phalanx! Woo Hoo!

With the turpentine, he was pretty easy.

But after, I kept going and the part where the dragon sweeps the area is challenging. In the end, I rushed to avoid the dragon, and there were 4 archers, 2 guys with shield and 2 archers above. Aaagh! I died 3 times there. The space is tiny so I couldnt dodge the guys with shields and I couldnt run cause of the dragon. I wasted all my firebombs on them and spend a good deal of healing herbs too.

Im lvl 9 now and have a Longsword +1 and Heater Shield +1.

Is there a way to do the levels or should do all from each before moving on to the next?
