lol for the old monk, I just stood there behind the fog until the guy just left my game then I went in and beat the shit out of him hahaha. maiden was the most retarded fight too, I just ran in with 300 arrows and that was the end of that XD

I just finished Demon's Souls for the first time. What a great first experience I had, such a good game. I remember when I picked it up; it was only because I read it was a hard game. I'm so glad I made that decision back then. One of my favorite games of the past few years.

How do I kill the crystal geckos in the manta ray area without them running away?

I REALLY need the ore to get my scim to crescent +5.

first kill every manta.
Second equip thief ring, equip your best bow and arrows and move slowly toward them .
Do not get to close.
Shoot it in first person view using zoom, ( if you time well you can get it on its back and get several arrows). If it manages to run away, back away a few steps and wait, with the thief ring equiped it's likely the gecko will run away and come back. Rinse and repeat...

If you have a good bow, it's rather easy ( for arrows use heavy arrow you purchase from Patches or even consider using some of your stash of white arrows).

Do you have a big (REALLY BIG) Weapon? if you have thief´s Ring, you can kill the gecko´s easily:

Just run Straight to them, and while running, lock on if he´s close enough (im using my nose for that lol), and then run closer, til you think you can hit him - just press R1, (did it with dragon Bone Smasher) and he will be dead (or almost dead), if not you can him the second time and he´s dead. (as you may know, after hitting him with something big, he´s unable to move for 3-5 seconds. - i dont think the manta´s will attack you with thiefs Ring, but if they do - they will miss, til you stop running, so after the first hit of yours.)

Another Question: is it possible to get the power of that Windsword (forgot the name) of 4-3 back? It was such a cool thing.. Q_Q

:O So.. I killed the Old Monk. Now all I got left is False King, Dirty Colossus and the Maiden... Swamp level is so annoying. Too much poison bs. And your limited mobility in the swamp just sucks.

So, aside from a trophy, what does the +5 crescent scim have over the +4? The only difference I see is a little bit of base attack, both weapons get "S" on the intelligence stat.
