Does the game scale to the player, or do you get to a point where you can own everything?

diminishing returns on stats and mobs getting harder in new games prevent that.

One example, a lvl 80 with 25 vitality or so will have 1000hp in body form, a level 200 with 40 vitality has 1350 hp or so....

I've been reading this thread a little but I stopped when I saw some spoilers -.- so you might have talked about it...

I REALLY DO NOT understand how to equip weapons and stuff like that! I mean it looks very simple but I always have this message that I'm not strong enough to have this item yet but how am I suppose to get stronger I mean can we even level up?...I'm really confused. I'm at 1-2 right now and I have the same stuff since the beginning. I'm a thief.

@boutros. Its not a dumb question I ran into the same thing and it took me tens of hours to figure it out but I will help you out. The weapons are stat specific. certain weapons need you to reach a certain plateau before you can use them effectively. For example the tower shield requires you to have 30 strength I think it is. So until you have 30 strength you will never reach the full potential of that weapon. To find out what you need check the weapons stat screen when you select your weapon. If it is red that means your current level isn't high enough. Try the demon souls wiki If I didn't explain it good enough it is an easy system just something new to get used to

So I actually spent 50000 souls for the ring of avarice and the extra souls is not as high as I thought it wouldve been, was it really worth it? Also, in 3-1, in one of the towers there is this guy standing there with like a yellow light or w/e around him, was that a merchant? I killed him with magic from afar so IDK if I shouldve done that or not.

What?! 175k per 3 minutes, how?! I'm guessing near the end of the game or in NG+? Man I was so pissed when I got the silver bracelet, I saw what it did and got soo happy and BAM female only I was like NOOO. Oh and wats LSS?

Edit: I got a Dragon Long Sword +4 and the attack is 266, I was thinking of just upgrading it instead of going for another weapon, is that good enough to last for the rest of the game (it has not stat upgrades).

The 175k run is for NG+ only, you need the soulsucker spell you can not get before NG+.( people do those runs to try to get a pure bladestone to drop, I do the shorter ones at 70k/run for like 1 min 40, the last 2 mobs can't drop pure bladestones..)

LSS = large sword of searching, raises drop rate, does not affect soul rate...

The first few times you do those runs you are like 'woah, so many souls''.

Then after 60+ runs and still no pure bladestone the woah effect quickly disappears...................( up 65 souls levels so far doing those runs and still no stone..)

Starting new game ++. Sucked bad when a guy invaded me just when I started a level. Bitch killed me and took my 110k souls...=/ I HATE magic users...

Where can I get pure bladestone/clearstone btw?
